The temple is located about 24 km south of Al Bayda, hidden high in the groves of the Green Mountains. Its design incorporates a unique local architectural style, featuring a low semicircular entrance that leads into a cave-like chamber. Inside, cylindrical columns stand in the middle of the cave, adding to the temple’s distinctive character and sense of mystery.
Slontah Temple is one of the few surviving examples of early Berber sacred architecture in Libya, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the pre-Hellenic spiritual traditions of the region.
