About the Acacus Desert Camp

Nestled in the heart of the Jebel Acacus Mountains, also know as the land of stark contrasts. This desert camp offers an authentic Libyan Sahara experience, surrounded by breathtaking nature. Our guests can enjoy traditional Tuareg bedouin style tents. The Tuareg are the Amazigh people of the Sahara Desert. The camp provides basic comfort when staying and sleeping in the desert.

 

 

 

Rooms

The camp features traditional Touareg Bedouin tents with simple but comfortable accommodations. Our quests can choose from single, twin, or double room tents, offering flexible options for solo travelers, couples, and small or big groups.

With simple, modern amenities, the camp combines adventure with comfort, making it perfect for travelers seeking an immersive desert experience far from city life.

The camp is an ideal base for exploring the stunning rock formations, prehistoric rock art, and vast sand dunes of the Acacus region. This region is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors can experience starry nights, camel treks, desert walks, and cultural evenings featuring local music and cuisine.
