Zuwarah

Known for having one of the finest white-sand beaches in Libya, Zuwara is surrounded by palm trees and sandy hills, creating an inviting coastal atmosphere.

The beaches stretch to both the east and west of the city and are popular with locals who organize numerous seaside activities. In August, the town comes alive with the Awussu Festival, featuring swimming and sailing races, as well as traditional folk dancing and exhibitions of handcrafted items that showcase the region’s Amazigh heritage.
