Zuwarah

The town of Zuwara is home to the lively Berber community, and is located about 60 km east of the Libya-Tunisian border, and 109 km west from Tripoli. Zuwarah, Zuara, has one of the finest white sand beaches of Libya with palm trees, and sandy hills. The beaches are located west and east of the city, and local people organisae a lot of activities. In august, Zuwarah Awussu festival with swimming, sailing races. Also folk dancing, and hand craft items are showed.
